Welcome to The Worst Book Company. These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through theworstbook.com.
Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

We sell creative products including books, stationery, cards, calendars, clothing and other products and experiences.
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions and other information on the website are accurate. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your device or screen.
Some of our products are made, printed or supplied in small quantities. Availability is shown on the relevant product page.
-
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.
After you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirms that we have received your order; it does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
A contract between you and us is formed when we send you confirmation that your order has been accepted or when we dispatch the goods, whichever happens first.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where, for example, a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or description error, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.
-
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£), unless otherwise stated.
The price you pay is the price displayed when you place your order.
Delivery charges are shown separately before you complete your purchase.
Payment is processed securely through the payment provider shown at checkout. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors. If an obvious pricing error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you before proceeding and give you the option to cancel the order.
-
Some products may be offered for preorder before they are available for dispatch.
Where a product is available for preorder, the product page will clearly state that it is a preorder and will provide the expected dispatch or delivery timeframe where reasonably possible.
When you place a preorder, payment may be taken at the time you place the order.
Preorder dates are estimates unless we specifically state that a date is guaranteed. Occasionally, production, printing, supply or delivery circumstances may cause a preorder to be delayed.
If a preorder is significantly delayed, we will contact you and explain the situation. You may contact us if you no longer wish to wait and, where appropriate, cancel your order for a refund.
Your statutory cancellation and consumer rights continue to apply to preorder purchases.
If a preorder is cancelled because we are unable to supply the product, we will provide a full refund.
-
If you purchase an in-stock product together with a preorder product in the same order, we may hold the entire order and send it together when the preorder product becomes available.
Where this applies, the product page or checkout information will make this clear.
If you would prefer in-stock items to be sent separately, please contact us before placing your order so that we can confirm whether this is possible and whether an additional delivery charge applies.
-
We currently deliver to:
[INSERT DELIVERY AREAS – e.g. UK only / UK and selected international destinations]
Available delivery options and charges are displayed at checkout.
We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on the relevant product page. If no specific timeframe is stated, we will aim to dispatch without undue delay.
Unless a different delivery period has been agreed with you, goods should be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being formed. Where a different delivery period has been agreed, that agreed period will apply.
If there is an unexpected delay, we will contact you where reasonably possible.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct when placing your order. We cannot be responsible for delays or losses caused by an incorrect address supplied by you, although we will do our best to help resolve the issue.
Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods come into your physical possession, or the possession of a person you have identified to receive them, unless the law provides otherwise.
-
If you are a consumer buying goods online, you normally have a legal right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
For most goods, you have 14 days from the day after you receive the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel. You then normally have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
This right applies subject to the legal exceptions described below.
To cancel an order, please contact us at:
hello @ theworstbook.com
Please include your order number and tell us that you wish to cancel.
You may use the following wording:
“I hereby give notice that I wish to cancel my order [ORDER NUMBER].”
You may also use the cancellation form at the end of these Terms & Conditions.
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
-
Certain products may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where an applicable legal exception applies.
For example, this can include goods that are personalised or made to your specifications.
Where an exception applies, we will make this clear on the relevant product page before you purchase.
This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of consumer law.
-
If you cancel under your statutory right to change your mind, you are normally responsible for the reasonable cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed otherwise or the goods are faulty or incorrect.
Please contact us before returning an item so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.
Goods should be returned unused and in their original condition where reasonably possible, although you may handle goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
If goods have been handled beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop, we may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund for any resulting reduction in value.
-
Where you validly cancel an order under your statutory cancellation rights, we will refund the purchase price and the standard delivery charge you paid for the original delivery.
We will normally make the refund using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.
For returned goods, we may wait to issue the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence that you have returned them, whichever happens first.
We will make refunds within the timeframe required by applicable consumer law.
-
Your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.
If your goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or you have received the wrong item, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:
hello @ theworstbook.com
Please include your order number and, where useful, photographs of the item or packaging.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may offer a repair, replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
-
If your order does not arrive within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us.
We will work with you and the delivery provider to investigate the issue.
Where goods have been lost or damaged before risk has passed to you, we will take appropriate action in accordance with your statutory rights.
-
We try to keep information about product availability up to date.
If we are unable to supply an item you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and provide an appropriate refund where required.
